After activating this [On Play] effect and becoming unable to play cards from my hand for the rest of the turn, can I use another effect which reads "play up to 1 Character card from your hand" or similar to play Characters?
Yes, you can. This effect prevents you from playing Characters and Stages from your hand by paying their normal cost, as well as activating Events by paying their normal cost. *This card is subject to a special ruling.
