Can this [On Play] effect be used to K.O. this "P-040 Kaido"?

Yes, you can. The amount of cards you place at the bottom of your deck from your trash will be 3 regardless of how many Characters would be removed from your field.
If this Character and 2 of my rested Characters would be K.O.'d by the [On Play] effect of "OP01-094 Kaido", can I use this Character's [Opponent's Turn] effect to prevent both of my 2 rested Characters from being K.O.'d?
